We would like to
remind our international students that
it is their responsibility to obtain the documents
required for travel to the United States.
This process has slowed down considerably
since 9/11, so check waiting times and plan
ahead! In additional to a valid passport,
residents from countries that are not exempt
from a visa requirement will need to apply
for a Business Visitor Visa (B-1). For up-to-date
information, check with the U.S. Consulate
in your country, or go to the U.S.

Coral Springs Animal Hospital recently relocated
to a 39,000-square-foot building that includes
a new Small Animal Rehabilitation Ward. Founded
in 1977, the hospital has grown from one doctor
and three employees to a practice with 23 doctors
and 85 employees.

Airports / Ground Transportation
Coral Springs is less than 30 minutes away from Fort
Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL).
Other airports in the area are Palm
Beach International Airport (PBI) in West Palm
Beach and Miami
International Airport (MIA).
Several companies provide ground transportation to Coral Springs. Please contact these companies directly to make your arrangements.

Coral Limousine services all hotels in Coral Springs, Florida. The company uses Lincoln Town Cars, which can seat up to four people. Students may wish to share a limo to cut costs. Service is non-stop, direct to airports.

- To or from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), 26 miles: $65 per car
- To or from Palm Beach International Airport (PBI), 45 miles: $105 per car

airport, the rate is $21 per person to the Marriott
Coral Springs for a SHARED ride.
You must make reservations
at least 24 hours in advance for a return trip to the airport for a
departing flight.
Taxi
Taxi service is available at these airports upon arrival. Taxi service is also available within Coral Springs if needed to travel between your hotel and Coral Springs Animal Hospital. Students may wish to share rides to cut costs.

Class Details
Class begins
at 9:00 am and goes until 6:00 pm daily. (Note:
These class times apply
only to the Coral Springs Animal Hospital.
Classes at other CRI locations will continue
to be held from 8:00 am until 5:00 pm.)
We will be doing
labs on the floor as well as outdoors so please
dress comfortably (scrubs, shorts, sandals, tank
tops). The classroom may get chilly at times
so bring a light jacket or long-sleeve shirt.
Also, allow enough room in your suitcase for
your text and lab book as well as any materials
you may purchase. If bringing your dog, please
be sure your dog has been treated for fleas and
heartworm prior to attending class.
Note:
If you are attending the Canine Rehabilitation
Assistant course, bring your
Intro lab book with anatomy notes and color photos
with you.
