Course
Description: Canine Rehabilitation and Clinical Orthopedics provides students with an understanding of advanced orthopedics and sports-related injuries and the rehabilitation treatment guidelines developed for specific conditions. Orthopedic and rehabilitation examination/palpation, gait analysis, and diagnostic and treatment techniques will be demonstrated and practiced in the hands-on wet lab. Actual clinical cases will be used to illustrate certain conditions and treatment options.
Instrumentation, implants, and orthopedic devices will be available for demonstration.
This course is now
RACE approved by
the AAVSB. Veterinarians and veterinary
technicians will earn 24 continuing education
hours for successful completion of this
3-day course. (Note: As of February 2011,
continuing education hours have been increased
to 24, reflecting the change to a 3-day
course.)
